What We Believe

(for we walk by faith, not by sight;) - 2 Corinthians 5:7

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of God's House - LA based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

God

There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise.  God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom,  justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Salvation

Salvation refers to the process baby which a person is reconciled with God. It involves acknowledging our need for forgiveness, believing in Jesus Christ as our Savior, and accepting His sacrifice on the cross. Through faith, we receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He dwells within believers, empowering them, guiding them and convicting them of sin. The Holy Spirit equips us for service, helps us grow spiritually, and produces the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in our lives.

Healing

Healing can occur in various ways - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. While we pray for physical healing, we also recognize that God's healing extends beyond the physical realm. It includes emotional restoration, inner peace, and reconciliation. We trust in God's sovereignty and seek His will in all circumstances.

Rapture of the Church

The Rapture is a future event described in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. It is when Jesus will return to gather His followers - both the living and the dead- to meet Him in the air. Believers will be transformed, receiving glorified bodies, and will forever be with the Lord. The timing of the Rapture is a topic of theological discussion, but its certainty remains a blessed hope for Christians.
